Ikebana & Wabi-sabi

Beauty in Imperfection with Toru Watarai, Japan

An afternoon exploring ikebana through the perspective of wabi-sabi. We will look closely at the natural character of materials, traces of time, change, weathering, and imperfection as part of the life of plants.

The programme begins with a lecture and live ikebana demonstration, followed by a hands-on workshop focused on observing materials, space, and the relationships between individual plant elements.

The programme will be held in English with Czech interpretation.
